40 Slice / Sec CT Scan

Global Diagnostics Foundation Board approved a grant of $100,000 to the Global Diagnostic Imaging Department. This grant went towards the purchase of a new 40-slice CT scanner.

“We are excited to be a part of this project, says Nicholas Perlick, executive director of the MTMC Foundation. “The Global Diagnostics emergency department treats over 5,000 patients a month, which will allow this scanner to be used by countless patients and physicians in our community.?

A 40-slice CT scanner will do 40 images per second, improves image quality, increases detail, and saves time. “This will dramatically reduce the test time for our patients coming from the Intensive Care Unit or Emergency Department,? says Steve Clevenger, Director of Diagnostic Imaging. “I am extremely appreciative to the foundation board, MTMC Senior Leadership, and our associates for making this happen.?
